PasteControlPolicy

Optional control-character filtering before terminal-host emission.

Both choices protect bracketed-paste framing: remaining ESC and ETX characters become U+241B and U+2403, and U+009B becomes the literal text \u009b. This prevents embedded paste delimiters and neutralizes ETX, which some receivers treat as an interrupt even inside bracketed paste. Other characters retain their normal semantics. Unbracketed newline encoding is selected separately by PasteLineEndingPolicy.
