updatePreviousCluster

Updates the most recently published grapheme with its complete retained sequence.

The sequence includes the previously published prefix and newly retained continuations. Updates are published at read boundaries or before the next grapheme or structural command. The sink owns the target cell, original attributes, width, and cursor effects. As with writeCluster, the array is borrowed only for the duration of this call.
