Returns the complete retained selection on the EDT, or null.

This describes the last applied frame and includes eviction observed there. The immutable range includes offscreen rows and may be saved for restoration. Unchanged ranges reuse their snapshot. Object identity is not an API guarantee. Unbound and disposed components return null.
