setSelection

Sets or restores a complete range on the EDT.

Returns false for another binding, an invalidated layout, or evicted endpoints. Validation and application share one frame lease. Rejection does not apply the requested range or change the current selection. Successful assignment ends mouse dragging without scrolling, focusing, sending input, or copying text. Closed sessions support this operation.
