save

Atomically replaces the configuration file with one complete TOML snapshot.

Creates missing parent directories and stages the replacement beside the destination. If writing or replacing fails, the previous file stays intact and the failure propagates. The filesystem must support atomic replacement; there is no destructive fallback.
